Library Fall Book Sale This Week
Shop the Longmont Library’s lobby for books, DVDs, vintage finds and more during the Fall Book Sale. Proceeds fund Library programs, resources and services. The sale runs 3:30 to 8 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 17 (Friends members only); 9 am to 8 pm on Thursday, Sept. 18; and from 9 am to 5 pm on both Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19 and 20. Itty Bitty City Preschool Fun
Itty Bitty City returns on Fridays from 9-11 am through November 21 at the St. Vrain Memorial Building at 700 Longs Peak Ave. Kids ages 6 months to 5 years enjoy running and playing in the gym! Parents must supervise their children. Buy a 10-visit pass for $42.50 in person or online at Recreation registration or pay $5 per child per visit. No registration is needed. Questions? Free Lanyon Park Historic Walking Tour
Join Longmont Museum Curator of History Elizabeth Beaudoin on a free walking tour Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 10 am. Learn about Longmont’s early years, the Oligarchy Ditch, mid-century modern architecture, and the city’s expansion post-WWII. No registration; meet in Lanyon Park (1900 Collyer St.). Questions? Charging Stations Out of Service Sept. 17
Longmont’s city-owned public electric vehicle charging stations will temporarily go out of service on Sept. 17 so that new equipment can be installed. Drivers will access the new chargers through the EVGateway app at evgateway.net/ev-drivers.php. Charging Stations are expected to again be available in October; details will be announced at Longmont EV chargers online as the work is completed.
Tibetan & Himalayan Cultural Festival
The Tibetan & Himalayan Cultural Festival in Longmont brings together food, film, photography, and dance. Attend a screening of “Honey Giver Among the Dogs” (Monmo Tashi Kyidren) from 2-5:30 pm on Saturday, September 20 at the Museum. Enjoy chai and momos before the film and Q&A after, plus a photo and woodcut exhibit and a Tibetan circle dance. Register for free at Honey giver online.
Downtown Longmont Wine Walk
Enjoy a variety of wines while exploring one-of-a-kind shops on Thursday, September 25 from 4:30 to 8 pm. Tickets are $30 (while supplies last), and include a commemorative wine sampling glass, 10 samples of assorted wines, and complimentary bites at each location. Volunteer to Serve on a Board

The City of Longmont offers an incredible experience for SVVSD students to visit our 3 sister cities: Chino, Japan; Ciudad Guzman, Mexico; and the Northern Arapaho, Wind River Reservation.
