City Survey is in the Mail
The City of Longmont is conducting its biennial Customer Satisfaction Survey. About 3,000 Longmont households have been randomly selected to participate. If you receive a survey in the mail, please return it as quickly as you can using the prepaid envelope. It won’t take much of your time to make a big difference!
Watch the Artists Paint Their Shock Art Boxes
How are the Art in Public Places Shock Art designs selected? What inspires the artists? From 9 am to noon on Saturday, September 8, chat with the artists and watch them paint their winning designs on switchgear boxes around town. Locations are Nelson Road near Target, Sunset Street at Ken Pratt Boulevard, Tulip Street at Mountain View Avenue, 9th Avenue at Granite Court, and Renaissance Drive at Pike Road. Historic Longmont Walking Tours
Take a walking tour of historic Longmont to learn about the architecture, stories of the past, historic preservation, and more. Tours include 3rd Avenue, Downtown, Historic Eastside, and Historic Westside and take place at various times on September 11, 12, 18 and 19. The cost is $10. Join the New Ukulele Club
From 7 to 8 pm on Tuesday, September 11, come meet new people and strum to your heart’s content at this meetup featuring instructor Kay Miller. All levels are welcome (really!), but musicians must be age 16 or older. Bring your own ukulele; songs to practice and instruction will be provided. This meetup will be held regularly on the second Tuesday of the month at the Longmont Public Library, 409 4th Avenue. No registration is required.
Landlord Alliance: Scams and Cons
Learn from the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office about recent scams and cons, particularly those affecting the rental business, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, September 12, at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Avenue. Itty Bitty City Returns
Itty Bitty City returns from 9 to 11 am on Fridays from September 14 through November 16 at the St. Vrain Memorial Building, 700 Longs Peak Avenue. Kids ages 6 months to 5 years have lots of room to run and play in the gym. Parents must supervise their children, and please, no older children. The cost is $2 per child or $17 for a 10-visit pass. No registration is needed for this drop-in program.
Final Free Mental Health First Aid Training
Mental Health First Aid is for everyone age 18 or older who wants to learn how to help a person experiencing a mental health-related crisis or challenge. Youth Council Seeks Applicants
Longmont Youth Council (LYC) is seeking new member in the 8th through 12th grade who live in the City of Longmont. This is fun and dynamic youth-led group needs motivated, committed students that would like to make a difference in our community. The LYC meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 4 to 5:30 pm at the Children, Youth and Families facility located at 1050 Lashley St. Please help them out to have representation from all the different schools in Longmont.

Race Against Domestic Violence 5K
Join your community in supporting the Longmont Ending Violence Initiative (LEVI) and the Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley at the Race Against Domestic Violence on Saturday, September 15, at McIntosh Lake. Diversity Storytime Looks at Immigration
A special all-ages family storytime will be held from 6 to 6:45 pm on Monday, September 10, at the Library, 409 4th Avenue. As part of the Library’s “Diversity Storytime” series, it will feature books that speak to the immigration and refugee experience in the U.S. No registration is necessary.
