New Science Series at the Library
Check out Science @ 6, a free Library program for 1st-5th graders that introduces scientific concepts and related, hands-on experiments. The series begins with “Rain and Rainbows” on Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 6-7 pm and continues on the second Wednesdays of the month through November. Registration is not required. Callahan Open House & ArtWalk
Enjoy a self-led tour at the historic Callahan House (312 Terry St.) from 4-8 pm on Saturday, Sept. 13 as part of Firehouse ArtWalk. Enjoy live music in the garden while local artists will sell their work. Admission is free, the public is invited, and no registration is required. Friday Afternoon: Boulder Philharmonic
Enjoy an afternoon of live music in the Longmont Museum’s Stewart Auditorium Friday, Sept. 12 at 2:30 pm. The Boulder Philharmonic String Quartet journey through American Folk as they push the boundaries of “Americana,” blending gospel, jazz, blues, bluegrass, and global folk. Learn Longmont’s Water Story
The City of Longmont Water Department, in partnership with Colorado Water Stories, invites you to the Community Water Academy on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 1:30–3:30 pm at the Longmont Senior Center (910 Longs Peak Ave). Enjoy a free, fun, interactive look at how our water system works—from mountain source to your tap—plus tips for conserving water. Guided History Tour at Sandstone Ranch
Enjoy a 90-minute guided tour of the historic Morse Coffin family home at 10:30 am or 12:30 pm on Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Sandstone Ranch Visitors Center (3001 Sandstone Drive). Learn about the Coffin family and what homesteader life was like in the 1800s. All ages welcome! $4/person suggested donation. Discovery Days Returns to the Museum
Discovery Days is an early childhood program for children ages 2 to 6 and their caregivers to have fun together with educational, hands-on art, music, and movement activities.
