Thompson Park Is Now Open

After months of renovations, Thompson Park is ready to welcome visitors back to its newly enhanced spaces. While portions of the park remained open throughout the project, key areas were temporarily closed to allow for significant upgrades. Now, with construction complete, the community can once again enjoy all that the park has to offer.

The construction phase of the renewal project, which began July of 2024, focused on a complete playground replacement with expanded footprint, the installation of two new picnic shelters, restroom upgrades and additional sidewalks. These improvements were designed to enhance accessibility, reduce maintenance, and provide a more enjoyable experience for all parkgoers.

To celebrate the park’s transformation, a re-opening event will take place on April 26, 2025, from 1-3 pm. The festivities will include a guided tour, informational booths, music, and fun activities for visitors of all ages.

Everyone is welcome to join in the festivities and explore the park’s new and improved features. For more details on the project and reopening visit bit.ly/thompson-park.
