Three-Week Closure of 4th Avenue East of the Intersection with Coffman Street
Feb. 28, 2025 – Starting Wednesday, March 5, 4th Avenue will be closed east of the intersection at Coffman Street for approximately three weeks. This closure is necessary to demo and install new concrete at the intersection for the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements project.
- The intersection will be closed to all through traffic on 4th Avenue.
- Eastbound traffic on 4th Avenue will be able to turn right onto southbound Coffman Street but traffic will not be allowed to travel through the intersection.
- Westbound traffic will need to turn around and exit back to Main Street or use the alley between Main Street and Coffman Street.
- The parking spaces on east 4th Avenue closest to Coffman St. will be closed.
- An accessible parking space will be available on the south side of 4th Avenue with a temporary ramp to access the sidewalk.
- Access to all businesses on 4th Avenue east of Coffman St. will remain open from southbound Main Street, the alley, or by crossing Main Street from Kimbark Street.
- The intersection at Coffman Street and 5th Avenue will be open to through traffic to access the alley.
