Traffic Signal Installation at Coffman Street and 2nd Avenue
Traffic Signal Installation at Coffman Street and 2nd Avenue
The City of Longmont and contractor Native Sun Construction will begin installing a new traffic signal at Coffman St. and 2nd Ave. on Tuesday, February 17. The traffic signal is part of the planned safety improvements for the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements project.
Construction is expected to be completed in approximately three weeks. Work will take place Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
During construction, there will be temporary lane closures on 2nd Ave and Coffman St. The intersection will remain open, with at least one lane maintained in each direction. There may also be short periods when traffic is briefly held to allow overhead work to take place.
The sidewalk and crosswalk on 2nd Ave. across Coffman St. will be closed to pedestrians during this work. Please use the posted pedestrian detour signs to access the nearest available crossing.
Questions or concerns regarding the project should be directed to the project hotline at 720-432-7058 or CoffmanStreetMobility@longmontcolorado.gov.
