Project Background

The $5 million parking garage renovation project is needed to update the failing existing post tension supports of the structure, which were installed when the garage was built in 1975. To bring the building to code standards, new external post tension supports will be installed and new concrete overlay will be applied.  Although the garage is in need of structural repairs, the offices located above the garage are safely supported.  Offices located above the garage include: City Manager, Finance, Utility Billing, Human Resources, Risk Management, Neighborhood Resources, and Community Development Block Grant.
