2024 has gone by fast. Almost as fast as a NextLight fiber connection – and with just as much content.

If you’re a NextLight customer or fan, then you know there’s been a lot to talk about this year. Granted, there’s always a lot to talk about with a connection that’s long been locally loved and nationally acclaimed. But 2024 in particular brought plenty for our NextLight community to celebrate and take advantage of, including:

• Expansion across Colo. 66: Yes, NextLight went north of the Longmont city limits for the first time this year, offering service to the Anhawa and Strawberry Circle neighborhoods and meeting an enthusiastic reception.
• Help for struggling customers: Last spring, NextLight stepped up to offer a new Internet Assistance Program offering a $25/month discount on internet service for households in need, replacing a federal program that ended in May. While many internet providers worried about losing customers when the federal help ended, NextLight actually added more income-qualified customers than before.
• Best Tech Brands: PC Magazine normally doesn’t include internet providers among its annual Best Tech Brands of the year list, but they made an exception for NextLight because of how enthusiastically customers supported us. Wow!
• Look for the label: We introduced a new “nutrition label” making it easier than ever for NextLight customers to see the price and service they’re receiving.
• Non-profit discounts: Non-profits can now claim a brand new 10% discount on their NextLight internet and phone service, helping their dollars stretch further to serve the Longmont community.
• 10 great years: And oh, yes, there was this little matter of a birthday! This November marked 10 years since the first Longmont customers began receiving NextLight service, which we’ve been celebrating with some great discounts for new customers and upgrading customers, as well as a doubled refer-a-friend bonus. (You can still claim the offers through Dec. 31, so check them out if you haven’t already!)

Amidst all that excitement, there are two things that haven’t changed – the excellence of this community and our commitment to serve you. And as we launch into a new year, that’s still going to be true. Thank you all and here’s to 2025!
