Appeal a Ticket

There are two methods of appealing a parking citation. The first method is a free informal administrative review that must be requested within 20 days from the date the ticket was issued. You will receive a decision within 20 days of requesting an informal administrative review. You may request a paper appeal form at the Development Services Center, 385 Kimbark St, Longmont, CO 80501, or you can request the review online through one of the following links:

For tickets issued on or after May 15, 2025, visit https://longmontcolorado.rmcpay.com to request an informal appeal.

For tickets issued prior to May 15, 2025, visit https://cityoflongmont.wufoo.com/forms/parking-citation-appeal-form to request an informal review

You may also request a formal hearing instead of an informal administrative parking review if you are past the 20 day limit for the informal review or if you prefer to appear in person with a Hearing Officer present. To request a formal hearing, you must file a written request with the Longmont Municipal Court at 225 Kimbark St, Longmont, CO 80501and pay a $25 hearing fee within 60 days from the date the ticket was issued. The hearing fee will only be refunded if the Hearing Officer determines that a parking infraction did not occur. There is no further recourse if the decision is upheld; parking tickets are a strict liability offense.
