Seasonal Offerings
Nature Journaling – Ages 14+
12 – 2 pm, Saturdays

Observe and reflect on nature through sketching or writing. Materials provided; no experience needed. $5/person for materials.
Bird Walks – Ages 10+

Local birder, Carl Starace, guides you around the loop trail as you explore the variety of birds that pass through or call Sandstone Ranch home.
Environmental Education – Ages 8+

Explore the ecosystem of Sandstone Ranch. These outdoor programs are geared for ages 8+ but all are welcome.
Grandparents Day – All Ages

Celebrate Grandparents Day – Dia de los Abuelos – with the Library for stories, games and fun!

Enjoy outdoor exploration with a weekly theme and storytelling. All ages welcome. Activities and story vary week to week! $5/child for materials; no fee for parents/guardians. Register for Nature Fridays here.
Free Summer Community Nights
Due to construction, Community Nights are cancelled in 2026.
Bring a sack dinner and join us at 5:30 pm before the main event to enjoy the scenery at Sandstone Ranch. Main event begins at 6:30 pm. Outdoor events, weather permitting: bring something to sit on. No registration needed. Organization links are provided as a resource and are not endorsed by the City of Longmont.

Nature, explore and more! Schedule a private tour for your class, organization or family. 1 hour = $4 per person, 2 hours = $5 per person. Contact Kirsten at 303-774-4692 to schedule.
