Garden Acres Pedestrian Bridge Replacement - City of Longmont
A pedestrian bridge at Garden Acres Park is shown in disrepair prior to replacement in 2025.

Overview

A pedestrian bridge that crosses Oligarchy Ditch in Garden Acres Community Park will be replaced by an improved bridge that was salvaged from the Resilient St. Vrain Project. The old bridge is pictured above. The project will include re-decking the salvaged bridge and reworking adjacent trails, landscaping, and irrigation on either side of the bridge.

Schedule

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, November 17 and is anticipated to be completed before the end of January, 2026.

Button Rock Preserve now open as of Saturday, December 20th. There is one area with a downed pole that remains closed.
