This building served as Longmont's City Hall from 1922 until the Civic Center Complex was built in early 1970's. As the seat of municipal government, the structure was the location of political actions that defined the City's social, economic, cultural and political development. The architectural style of this building is Beaux Arts, which was popular from the late 1890's through about 1920. The building is primarily brick and features a Palladian entrance on 4th Avenue.
