Even though there is no historic information available on this home, this structure has historical significance in the development of early Longmont. It is considered a part of the Original Old Town Longmont. The characteristics of the structure are indicative to the era in which it was built and represent the early development and heritage of our community.
The location of the home is within the boundaries of the original Chicago-Colorado Colony which was plotted in 1870. It is located on what was then considered Seventh Avenue near "Lake Park," now expanded and known as Roosevelt Park. It was built in one of the first neighborhoods of the time.
