The City of Longmont has finished a year long process to craft a Transportation Mobility Plan (TMP). The development process looked at the current conditions of people moving around and through Longmont and proposed future upgrades and improvements. The plan prioritizes safe and accessible transportation options for people walking, biking and taking transit while assuring that Longmont’s overall transportation system is safe, comfortable and well maintained.

The process included robust public engagement to increase understanding of transportation conditions and challenges, establish goals for transportation that equitably and safely serves all Longmont users, and set a path to meet the City’s sustainability objectives. Through broad and inclusive community input and data-driven analysis, the project developed a transformational TMP with a prioritized list of future transportation capital improvement projects, policies and programs.
