Q: Will construction of the maintenance facility affect my ability to golf at Ute Creek?
A: Although there’s a certain amount of noise and dust created by any construction project, golfers should not be directly affected by this work.
Q: How will the course be maintained if the existing maintenance facility is under construction?
A: A temporary maintenance facility was established east of the Ute Creek Golf Course Clubhouse Parking Lot, 2000 Ute Creek Drive, and all operations ran out of that facility.
Q: What hours will the contractor be working?
A: GH Phipps worked between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm. There may have been some construction activities that needed to happen outside of this timeframe. Please refer to the Sundance Homeowners Association Declarations Article 7 regarding the golf course.
Q: What will happen to the silo?
A: The silo was protected throughout the construction phase of the project and will remain in its existing location.
Q: When will the project be completed?
A: The project is substantially complete, GH Phipps is continuing to work on punch list items.
A Conditional Use Site Plan for the Ute Creek Golf Course was approved by the City of Longmont, Planning & Zoning Commission in 1995. The golf course was designed by world-renowned golf course architects of the Robert Trent Jones II Group and opened in 1997. In 2002, a site plan amendment was approved detailing the proposed Ute Creek Golf Course Maintenance Facility just east of the existing Clubhouse and parking lot centrally located within the course. Due to budgetary constraints the facility was not built at that time.
In 2018, Longmont voters approved Ballot Issue 3C which provided the necessary funding for the construction of this maintenance facility. The maintenance facility will consist of two (2) buildings, material storage bins, and a central maintenance yard to support the daily operations of the golf course and will be constructed at the existing maintenance facility, located at 12196 Ute Hwy.
