A waiver must be signed for participation in any class or special event. Please print this two-page document out and bring completed form to the event.

2026 Basic Handgun and Concealed Carry Course (Saturdays 8am-5pm)
Thinking of buying a handgun as a first time handgun owner or interested in getting training to apply for your concealed carry license? Do you just want to get back to the basics of handgun safety? Learn how to safely store, carry, and shoot your handgun. This co-ed course is a combination of classroom and range time, appropriate for all level of shooters. Gain valuable knowledge and skills of the shooting sport, fundamentals of marksmanship, reloads, and clearing malfunctions.
This course exceeds state standards for concealed carry permit (CCW) requirements. Each participant will receive a certificate upon course completion. CCW permits must be obtained in the county in which you reside.
- 2026 Dates: Jan 17, Feb 21, Mar 21, Apr 18, May 16, Jun 20, Jul 18, Aug 15, Sept 19, Oct 17, Nov 14, Dec 12. All classes are on Saturday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

- Gear:Â Provide your own handgun, 100 rounds of ammunition, dual hearing protection and eye protection Handgun / CCW classes utilize City of Longmont RecTrac. For assistance with Rec Trac please call (303) 651-8404.
2026 Concealed Carry Refresher Course
This course meets or exceeds the state standards and the curriculum is Colorado HB24-1174 compliant. Each participant will receive a certificate upon satisfactorily completing the course. Certificates must be take to the county sheriff where you reside to renew your concealed carry permit.
- 2025 Friday Event Dates 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Jan 16, Feb 20, Mar 20, Apr 17, May 15, Jun 19, Jul 17, Aug 14, Sept 18, Oct 16, Nov 13, Dec 11.
- 2026 Sunday Event Dates 11:00 am – 2:00 pm: Jan 11, Feb 15, Mar 15, Apr 12, May 10, Jun 14, Jul 12, Aug 9, Sept 13, Oct 11, Nov 8, Dec 6.
- 18 & Over
- Gear: Provide your own handgun, 50 rounds ammunition, dual hearing protection and Eye protection

2025 Co-ed Firearms Training
Training provided once a month. For additional information please email the lead instructor or call 303-774-4587 (Saturday/Sunday)
Unless indicated, all classes are held at the Longmont Department of Public Safety and Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Range and Training Facility
