The Risk Management Department is committed to safeguarding Longmont’s municipal assets, minimizing liabilities, and promoting a safe, secure work environment through proactive risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Our goal is to protect the city’s resources and ensure the health and safety of its workforce and citizens.

Promoting a city-wide culture of well-being through mindfulness of perils, taking precautions, and living a healthy lifestyle.

Risk Management is responsible for administering the City’s property, liability and workers’ compensation insurance and claims management programs.

Safety provides identification and evaluation of the City’s risk, implementation of appropriate safety, environmental and loss prevention programs, and claims investigations.

Wellness provides a pathway for all staff to pursue a healthy lifestyle. This program aims to provide City employees with exceptional wellness programming which motivates them toward healthy lifestyle choices, and ultimately healthier, more productive lives.
