Seasonal Offerings

Suggested donations of $4/person are collected at the time of registration unless otherwise noted. Spaces are limited; register early. All guests must be registered. Registration is available online or by calling 303-774-4700. All ages are welcome unless specified. Fall 2026 registration begins Tuesday, Aug. 11.
 

Grandparents Day – All Ages

10am – 1 pm, Saturday, Aug. 22

Celebrate Grandparents Day – Dia de los Abuelos – with the Library for stories, games and fun!

 

Bird Walks – Ages 10+
7:45 – 10:45 am, Tuesdays
Sept 8 | Sept 22 | Oct 6 | Oct 20

Local birder, Carl Starace, guides you around the loop trail as you explore the variety of birds that pass through or call Sandstone Ranch home.

 

Guided History Tour – Ages 13+
10:30 am – noon, Saturday, Sept. 12

Take a guided 90-minute tour of the historic Coffin Family Home, indoors and outdoors.

 

Nature Journaling – Ages 13+

10 am – noon, Saturdays

Sept 19 | Oct 17
Observe and reflect on nature through sketching or writing. Materials provided; no experience needed. $5/person for materials.

 

Geology Walk – Ages 13+
10:30 am – noon, Saturday, Oct. 3

Explore the geology of Sandstone Ranch. Enjoy scenic views, a short, easy walk, and learn how the landscape formed.

 

Nature Exploration – Ages 8+
10 am – noon, Saturdays
Sept 26 | Oct 24

Explore the ecosystem of Sandstone Ranch. These outdoor programs led by the Longmont Ranges are geared for ages 8+ but all are welcome.

Nature Fridays – Ages 3+

9am – noon, Fridays
June 12 | June 19 | June 26 | July 10 | July 17 | July 24

Enjoy outdoor exploration with a weekly theme and storytelling. All ages welcome. Activities and story vary week to week! $5/child for materials; no fee for parents/guardians. Register for Nature Fridays here.

Group Tours & Public Hours

Group Tours – Year Round

Nature, explore and more!  Schedule a private tour for your class, organization or family. 1 hour = $4 per person, 2 hours = $5 per person.  Contact Kirsten at 303-774-4692 to schedule.

Open to Public Hours – Free Admission, Donations Welcome

Saturdays
2nd & 4th Saturdays, March 14 – Oct 24, 2026, 10 am – 2 pm
The Visitors Center is open for self-led tours.

Wednesdays
May 6 – Aug 26, 2026, 10am – 2 pm
Enjoy weekly nature themes with a nature activity. Self-led schedule allows for arrival anytime during the open hours.
