Bird Walks – Ages 10+

Local birder, Carl Starace, guides you around the loop trail as you explore the variety of birds that pass through or call Sandstone Ranch home.
Nature Exploration with the Rangers – Ages 8+

Explore the ecosystem of Sandstone Ranch with the Longmont Ranger Team. These are outdoor programs.
Geology Walk – Ages 13+
Saturday, Oct. 3, 10:30 am – noon
Explore the geology of Sandstone Ranch. Enjoy scenic views, a short, easy walk, and learn how the landscape formed.
Nature Journaling – Ages 13+
Saturday, Oct 17, 10 am – noon
Observe and reflect on nature through sketching or writing. Materials provided; no experience needed. $5/person for materials.

Nature Fridays – Ages 3+
Nature Fridays have ended for the season. Check back in summer 2027!
Enjoy outdoor exploration with a weekly theme and storytelling. All ages welcome. Activities and story vary week to week! $5/child for materials; no fee for parents/guardians. Register for Nature Fridays here.
Group Tours & Public Hours
Group Tours – Year Round
Nature, explore and more! Schedule a private tour for your class, organization or family. 1 hour = $4 per person, 2 hours = $5 per person. Contact Kirsten at 303-774-4692 to schedule.

Wednesday hours have ended for the 2026 season.
Enjoy weekly nature themes with a nature activity. Self-led schedule allows for arrival anytime during the open hours.
