Seasonal Offerings

Suggested donations of $4/person are collected at the time of registration unless otherwise noted. Spaces are limited; register early. All guests must be registered. Registration is available online or by calling 303-774-4700. All ages are welcome unless specified.

Guided History Tour – Ages 13+

10:30 am – noon, Saturday, September 13

Enjoy a 90-minute tour of the Visitors Center and Coffin family homestead. Please dress for the weather.

Bird Walks – Ages 10+

7:30 am – 10:30 am, Tuesdays

Local birder, Carl Starace, guides you around the loop trail as you explore the variety of birds that pass through or call Sandstone Ranch home.

Geology Walk – Ages 13+

10 – 11:30 am, Saturday, October 11
Join Boulder County Volunteer Naturalists to learn about the geology of Sandstone Ranch and Boulder County.

Nature Journaling – Ages 14+

10 am – noon, Saturday, November 22
Observe and reflect on nature through sketching or writing. Materials provided; no experience needed.

Nature Fridays – Ages 3+

9am-noon, Fridays
Nov 28

Enjoy outdoor exploration with a weekly theme and storytelling. All ages welcome. Activities and story vary week to week! $5/child for materials; no fee for parents/guardians. Register for Nature Fridays here.

Bring a sack dinner and join us at 5:30 pm before the main event to enjoy the scenery at Sandstone Ranch. Main event begins at 6:30 pm. Outdoor events, weather permitting: bring something to sit on. No registration needed.

Nature, explore and more! Schedule a private tour for your class, organization or family. 1 hour = $4 per person, 2 hours = $5 per person. Contact Kirsten at 303-774-4692 to schedule.
