Update on City Council Ward 2 Vacancy
On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the members of the Longmont City Council discussed the Charter requirements for replacing outgoing Ward 2 Councilmember Marcia Martin, who vacated her seat effective December 31, 2024.
Following this discussion, residents of Ward 2 were invited to apply to fill the vacant seat in a news release. Read the news release, published December 16, 2024.
On January 8, 2025 the application process closed. Twenty-two applications were received and all applicant names are listed below. Those who are qualified are indicated with an asterisk. All other applicants are either not qualified or not yet qualified. Applicants not yet qualified have been instructed to bring in their verification by end of day Friday, Jan. 10.
