Youth Center Transportation
The Longmont Youth Center (home of Children, Youth & Families) offers transportation to and from the Youth Center and designated locations in the City.
At no cost, Youth Center representatives will pick up and drop off your child at a designated location. This transportation is for the sole purpose of enabling a youth’s participation in Youth Center programming. This is not to be used as “a ride across town.”
Requirements
- Families must fill out and sign a Zone Afterschool Registration Form for each youth attending.
- A parent or guardian must contact the Youth Center at 303-651-8580 to discuss transportation and registration.
The Youth Center will be closed – and no van service will be provided – on the following days:
- Labor Day – Monday, September 1, 2025
- Veterans Day – Tuesday, November 11, 2025
- Thanksgiving – Thursday and Friday, November 27 & 28
- Christmas – December 25, 2025
- New Year’s Day – Thursday, January 1, 2026
- Martin Luther King Day – Monday, January 19, 2026
- Presidents’ Day – Monday, February 16, 2026
- Memorial Day – Monday, May 25, 2026
- Juneteenth – Friday, June 19, 2026
- Independence Day – Friday, July 3, 2026
- Our driver will offer pick-ups and drop-offs only at designated locations.
- Our staff will never transport passengers other than youth in our programming.
- Our driver will verify that every youth is wearing a seatbelt and ensure that they remain safely secured throughout the ride.
- Our driver will make certain that youth are treating one another and staff respectfully while on the road.
- While transporting youth, variables like weather, traffic, programming delays, etc. may affect pick-up and drop-off times slightly. The driver will notify parents and guardians of significant delays.
- During inclement weather days when SVVSD cancels in-person learning or after-school programming, van transportation to the Youth Center will not be available.
- On non-school days, YC van service times and locations will vary. The Youth Center will communicate with families in advance.
- Youth Center will be closed and no van service will be provided on Holiday Closure dates seen above.
