Longmont Museum Announces Summer Camp 2021
LONGMONT, Colo. – Registration is now open for the Longmont Museum’s 2021 summer camp season, with programs planned outdoors, indoors, and virtually. Camp sessions run June 7 through July 30 for children ages 3 to 16.
Children can explore popular themes such as Longmont history, STEM, visual arts, outdoor skills, pop-culture, fabric arts and sewing, music and theatre, a wizard’s school, and classic arts and crafts. The Museum is closely following standards from Boulder County Public Health to ensure a safe and fun camp experience for all.
Camps are held outdoors in the natural areas surrounding the Museum, in large indoor classrooms, or in a secure Zoom meeting room, allowing families the flexibility to choose which environment feels most comfortable during the ongoing pandemic.
Camps range in cost from $150 – $300 per week, and last between two to five hours per day. The cost of camps includes all materials needed for the week, including a specialized kit of supplies to be picked up outside the Museum for virtual camps. Need-based scholarships are available, thanks to the generous support of the Dodge Family Fund.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer many of our favorite camps again this year, returning from an all-virtual season last summer,” said Kim Manajek, Museum director. “Whether it’s arts or science, in-person or virtual, we have a camp for every kid this year!”
Opportunities are also available for teen volunteers. For more information on Longmont Museum 2021 summer camps, visit longmontmuseum.org.
