Summer camp at the Longmont Museum is filled with adventure and fun! Join us this summer and discover history, art, music, culture, science and more in these hands-on camps.

 

Camps are designed for the age groups listed; unfortunately, exceptions cannot be made to accommodate children outside of those ranges.

Pokémon Arts & Crafts 

Instructor: Leigh Putman of the Longmont Museum 

Create Pokémon drawings, mini-sculptures, Pokémon-themed crafts, and your own Pokémon playing cards to add to your collection. Use your new Pokémon crafts to have pretend battles with your friends!

Archaeologist’s Apprentice   

Instructor: Henry Anderson of the Longmont Museum 
Unleash your inner archaeologist! Young explorers will venture outdoors, conduct surveys around the Museum and learn to identify and interpret clues left behind by peoples both modern and ancient. We’ll get our hands dirty with a real excavation and even create our own artifacts using traditional methods.

The Lakota Way in the Plains 

Instructor: Steven La Pointe, Sicangu Lakota 

Become immersed in an authentic cultural experience exploring the Lakota tribe from past to present with Steven La Pointe, Sicangu Lakota.
