Contractor License Renewals

To complete the renewal process please take the following steps:
- Step 1:Â Gather Required Documents – Please find your license type below for a list of required documents (these will need to be uploaded to your application):
Electrical –

- Step 2:Â General Contractors and Mechanical Contractors ONLY: In accordance with Ordinance 16.48.060, all qualified individuals for the Class A, B, C, and Mechanical licenses need to complete the renewal exam prior to license renewal. These renewal exams are only required once per code cycle, generally every three years.
Please select your license exam from the links below. Upon completion of this exam with a score of 70% or better, you will be able to download a completion certificate. PLEASE KEEP THIS FOR YOUR RECORDS – you will be required to provide this each year as part of your renewal application. If you have already taken the exam during the current code cycle, or you are not a general or mechanical contractor, skip to Step 3.

Class M TestNOTE: Do not exit the exam site until you have completed and submitted your answers or you will have to re-register and take the exam again. Please contact Building Services if you require assistance (303-651-8332).

Licenses

- header (located above the light blue banner on the home page). You should see your license listed in the
Records

- column on the Licenses page.

- 3. In the
Actions

- column, you should see two options: DO NOT USE AMENDMENT (this link is not functional for licensing). Click on
Apply for Renewal

If your license is not listed, OR you do not see an option to apply for renewal,

- please send an email to
Building.Inspection@LongmontColorado.gov

- with your license number and the Email address or User Name for your portal account.

- Step 5: Complete the renewal application on Accela Citizen Access – ACA and provide the necessary documents (Contractor Renewal Guide PDF)

Accela Citizen Access (ACA) – The City of Longmont uses Accela Citizens Access (ACA) for online licensing, permitting, and inspections. The Accela system is created and produced by Accela. The City of Longmont maintains and customizes the program for public use.
