Please note that it is essential to do thorough research on providers of interest. Check that their opening hours align with your schedule, read reviews from other parents, and verify that their policies and activities align with your preferences. The Colorado checklist for safe, quality child care can help you identify other important aspects to consider.
Children aged 6 weeks to 12 years:
- Child Care Center – A facility where a group of children are cared for by trained staff in a structured, regulated environment. Child care centers may offer care for various age groups and typically have specific operating hours.
- Family Child Care Home – Child care provided in a caregiver’s own residence for a small group of children. Family child care homes offer a more intimate, home-like setting compared to larger facilities.
