Overview
In honor of Colorado Arbor Day, Forestry Services coordinates an annual online tree sale for the community each Spring. With Emerald Ash Borer in Longmont, planting new trees is more important than ever to grow the health and beauty of our urban forest.
The 2025 Spirit of Arbor Day Tree Sale is being held as a lottery beginning March 3-March 9. If you are selected for a tree you will be notified on Monday, March 10. If there are any remaining trees after the lottery is complete they will be available for purchase beginning March 17.
You are allowed to purchase one tree per resident; trees are $50 (this includes tax). If you are participating in the lottery, you may select up to two alternate species. You will need to pay to enter the lottery (you will be refunded if you do not get the trees). All trees will be delivered during the week of April 21, please watch for an email from the City of Longmont for more details on delivery after the sale has closed. (Find more details below.)
If you’d like to be notified when we have tree sales, please sign up for our Tree Sale email list.

- Use the Tree Selection information below to plan what trees you may want to purchase. Consider having some backup choices, in case your first choice is sold out.

This sale is made possible in part by a generous donation from the Platte River Power Authority.
