Affordable Homeownership Program (Inclusionary Housing)

To help address the shortage of affordable for-sale and rental housing, the City of Longmont partners with home owners and housing developers as part of the Inclusionary Housing Program.

Elevation Community Land Trust has homes in the Blue Vista subdivision, south of the Rec Center on Quail Road. Please contact ELCT to see what they might have available.
Habitat for Humanity will continue to build homes over the next 1-5 years. Contact Habitat to learn how to qualify for their homeownership program. Locations include:
- Mountain Brook subdivision on Rogers Road west of Hover (approximately 8 homes)
- East Rogers Road location (approximately 9 homes)
- Sugarmill site, just south of the new apartments going up east of Ken Pratt and 3rd Avenue (12 paired homes)

The City also has a Down Payment Assistance program which helps an income-qualifying household to purchase an existing home or a new construction home that they can afford. This page also includes a link to the Boulder County Common Application. Households are encouraged to look at this information and consider submitting an application.

This application allows households to apply for the Down Payment Assistance program plus other affordable homeownership programs offered by Boulder, Longmont, and non-profit organizations. The application also shares next steps including the required Homebuyer Training Course, orientations, and more.
