R.E.W.i.N.D – Longmont’s Youth Deflection Program
REWiND stands for Rebuilding Expectations and Walking in New Directions
REWiND is a program designed to guide youth away from the traditional juvenile justice system. Its goal is to step in early and provide the support, resources, and interventions that help prevent future legal problems. Youth in the program receive an assessment, case management, and activities that build positive, healthy skills. They also participate in culturally responsive services that support their growth and decision making.
REWiND is an alternative to initial or continued formal processing of youth in the juvenile delinquency system.
It is a partnership between the Longmont Municipal Court, Probation, Children Youth & Families, the Longmont Police Department and BRITE Collaborative.
