Head to the Longmont Library for special events just for teens! 

Education, teamwork or students in classroom for working together on university, college or school research project. Diversity, smile or happy friends learning, knowledge study or writing in notebook.

The Longmont Library is hosting a multitude of FREE programs for kids and teens of all ages during Thanksgiving Break. Make sure to stop by and participate! 

Monday, Nov. 25 

Bilingual Storytime / Cuentos Bilingües: 10-10:30 am in the Library Meeting Rooms. Join us for stories and songs in Spanish and English for children of all ages! All aged children with a grown-up are welcome, but this storytime is best for 3 years and older.
Cookie Decorating: 2-3 pm in the Library Meeting Rooms. For 1st-5th graders only. Do you have a sweet tooth and knack for frosting cookies? Join us to decorate a sugar cookie or two! Registration required at bit.ly/LibKids or by calling the Children and Teen Services Desk at 303-651-8477. 

 

Tuesday, Nov. 26 

Toddler Storytime: 10-10:20 am in the Library Meeting Rooms. A lively storytime designed for ages 2 to 3 years old and their grownup. Enjoy 20 minutes of books, songs, movement and fun for children to build fine motor and literacy skills! 

Moana 2 Party: 1-2 pm in the Library Meeting Rooms. For 1st-5th graders only. Join us in a celebration of all things Moana as we make crafts, sing songs and play games! 

Adulting 101: Stress Management Kit: 6-7 pm in the Teen Space. For 6th-12th graders only. Ever wondered how adults get things done? Us too! Join us every fourth Tuesday of the month in Adulting 101 and prepare yourself for that scary time of life… Adulthood. 

 

Wednesday, Nov. 27 (The Library will close early at 5 pm) 

Baby Storytime: 10-10:20 am in the Library Meeting Rooms. Get ready for an interactive storytime designed for infants to age 2 and their grownup! Enjoy 20 minutes of short stories, songs, rhymes, bouncing, and fun for child and grownup. Baby Storytime is a great way to build language, social-emotional, and pre-literacy skills! 

Teen BINGO!: 11 am-noon in the Teen Space. For 6th-12th graders only. Join us to play BINGO and win fun prizes! 

Open LEGO Build!: 1-3 pm in the Library Meeting Rooms. Let’s get the LEGOs out! The building space (also known as the Library Meeting Rooms) will be open for builders in kindergarten through 5th grade. 

 

Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 

Library is closed for the holiday. 

 

Saturday, Nov. 30 

Weekend Family Storytime: 11-11:30 am in the Library Meeting Rooms. A 30-minute Saturday storytime designed for children of all ages and their grown-ups! Join us as we share picture books, move, dance and sing together. 

 

Sunday, Dec. 1 

Lotería Mexicana: 3-4 pm in the Library Meeting Rooms. Come with your whole family to play Loteria Mexicana! Prizes include bilingual books and little giveaways from local Mexican markets. This program is bilingual and family-friendly – all ages are welcome! You do not need to know Spanish in order to play.Â
