We’re your electric service. For over 110 years as your community-owned, not-for-profit electric service, we’ve delivered on a fundamental promise: to provide you with safe, reliable electricity at affordable rates. We’ve been committed to serving our community because we’re part of the community.
With our eyes on the future, we’re taking steps to reduce our reliance on carbon-based fuels and meet ambitious goals set by our community to dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
One important way we do this is through Efficiency Works, our shared customer engagement organization. Efficiency Works is a partnership between Platte River Power Authority and the communities of Longmont, Loveland, Estes Park and Fort Collins that works with electrical customers to improve their energy efficiency. This assistance includes residential and commercial energy assessments, advising and rebates, helping customers use less energy or make good decisions about how and when they use energy.
Please note that our summer electric rates for residential and commercial customers are now in effect and will remain in place through Sept. 30. These new rates help cover the higher cost of generating electricity in the summer and also encourage greater energy efficiency at a time when both homes and businesses typically see their heaviest energy use.
