Efficiency Works Homes – Save money and energy with an Efficiency Works home energy assessment! For just $60 (a $600 value!), our energy advisors identify inefficiencies in your home, explain benefits that result from efficiency upgrades, help review project bids and plan future projects. Refrigerator Recycling Program – That old refrigerator or freezer in the garage may be costing you more than you think. If your appliance is in working condition at the time of recycling, Efficiency Works, along with Longmont Power & Communications, can haul away your old fridge at no cost, or provide a $35 rebate when you take your appliance to a certified recycling facility.  Find out more about refrigerator recycling and schedule a pickup at the Efficiency Works website.

Colorado’s Affordable Residential Energy Program (CARE) – Colorado’s Affordable Residential Energy program from Efficiency Works and Energy Outreach Colorado provides FREE home energy visits and some free energy upgrades to income-qualified households. To learn more and download an application, simply visit the CARE page on the Energy Outreach Colorado website.

Electric Vehicle Charger Rebates – Bring electric vehicle charging home with a Longmont Power & Communications rebate on the purchase of your new Level 2 vehicle charger. We’re offering up to $500 for a Level 2 residential EV charger for a home or multi-family property or up to $1,000 for dual-port Level 2 chargers on a multi-family site for public use. This is open to all homeowners, property owners, landlords, or builders in the LPC service territory; renters will need written permission from the property owner or landlord. All chargers must be permanently installed, have a dedicated circuit and have the proper permits from the City of Longmont and Boulder County, as well as being wi-fi enabled and Energy Star certified. Take advantage now by filling out our rebate application. Rebate applications must be submitted by Nov. 1, 2024; the final day for document submittal (install and permitting complete, photos and receipts submitted) is Dec. 15, 2024.

 

SOLL Sustainability Assessments – Save money and help protect the environment with a free home efficiency and sustainable lifestyle assessment.  Each customized appointment includes free efficiency upgrades like LED light bulbs, a “smart” power strip, water-saving aerators and more. You’ll also get customized advice and referrals to dozens of other rebates, discounts, and money-saving efficiency programs. Topics include energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction and composting, electric vehicles and more. All Longmont residents, including renters, in all types of homes including apartments, condos, and manufactured homes are pre-qualified. Appointments are available in English or Spanish.  Efficiency Works Business – Help your business save energy and bottom-line costs with Efficiency Works Business. You can take advantage of a free facility assessment, connect with service providers to perform efficiency-related upgrades and benefit from rebates for energy- and water-savings improvements.

Efficiency Works Building Tune-Up – This program is back and better than before. Designed to optimize and enhance your building’s HVAC systems, our tune-up offers services from enhanced maintenance for standard rooftop units to full retro-commissioning (RCx) on facilities with building automation systems. Building Energy Benchmarking – Manage energy costs for your business by taking part in our benchmarking program, currently open to buildings of 20,000 square feet or larger. We’ll help you use the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager to calculate your energy score and compare it to similar buildings elsewhere, allowing you to see opportunities to save energy and reduce costs.
