Longmont Power & Communications provides electricity to Longmont, parts of Lyons and Hygiene, and some areas of unincorporated Boulder and Weld Counties:
- Created in 1912, LPC is the oldest municipally owned utility in the northern front range
- 49-square-mile service territory
- 7 substations
- 616 miles of electric lines
- 93% of the system is looped so that power has multiple paths to reach a customer, further enhancing the reliability of our electric service
- Increasingly powered by renewable resources
