Renewable Power Purchase Program

Longmont’s electric energy is purchased from Platte River Power Authority, our not-for-profit wholesale electricity provider that is jointly owned by Longmont, Estes Park, Fort Collins, and Loveland. Platte River shares Longmont’s goal of achieving 100% carbon free renewable electric energy supply by 2030 and continues to add renewable resources to its supply mix. More information on these renewable sources can be found on Platte River’s website.

The Renewable Power Purchase Program is available for customers that want to support Longmont and Platte River in achieving their goals or for organizations or businesses that have sustainability targets of their own. More information on Platte River’s electric supply resources, including renewable supplies like wind, solar, hydroelectric, and battery storage can be found on Platte River’s website.
