The City of Longmont Municipal Code has specific sections 9.04.100 regarding offensive premises:
The ordinance states that junk, trash and debris cannot be left in the yard and must be properly disposed of. This includes auto parts, appliances, furniture, building materials, tires, discarded paper, cardboard, plastics, tree trimmings and fallen limbs.
The City of Longmont Municipal Code 10.20.100 has specific sections that deal with unreasonable noise:
Electrically Amplified Sound:
- Basically the ordinance requires that you must keep the sound level to a point that it is not audible beyond 25 feet from the source. This means that your TV, stereo, radio or other such items should not be so loud as to cause your neighbor significant annoyance or irritation.
Loud Party:
- It is against the ordinance to have loud parties – defined as a gathering of persons engaged in loud and continuing activities continuing for a minimum of 15 minutes between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. and audible 25 feet from the source of the sound.
What are the Curfew times?
The Longmont Municipal Code explains when people, under the age of 18, must be off the streets, alleys, parks, playgrounds, schoolyard, or any other public area. There are exception to this rule so be sure and read sections 10.32.010 and 10.32.020 for details.
- Curfew times:
- 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday
- Midnight to 5 a.m. on Friday and Saturday
