Colorado Gives Day is Dec. 9. In celebration of the wonderful work the Friends of the Longmont Library do to support us, we share this letter from President of the Friends, Wanda Ferguson:
—
As we head into Colorado Gives Day, we’ve been reflecting on what makes the Longmont Public Library such a beloved part of our community. It isn’t just the books on the shelves. It’s you!
Every time you attend a program, donate a book, volunteer your time, or show up at a book sale, you help create a welcoming space where curiosity is encouraged, neighbors connect, and every person—at every age—has access to knowledge and joy.
The Friends of the Longmont Library exist to protect and grow that magic. And today, we’re asking for your help.
Colorado Gives Day is one of the most impactful ways to support the Library and library programming.
A donation through the Colorado Gives platform not only helps fund programs and materials—it is boosted by an incentive fund, meaning your generosity goes even further.

And if giving financially isn’t in your plans this year, there are still meaningful ways to be part of our mission. Our volunteers bring heart, energy, and community spirit to everything we do—especially our book sales.

Thank you for being the community that makes this work possible.
Thank you for believing in stories, access, learning, and connection.
Thank you for supporting the library we all love.
With gratitude,
Wanda Ferguson
