Scam alert: Fraudulent email impersonates the City of Longmont Planning Department

The City of Longmont has become aware of fraudulent emails that impersonate City of Longmont employees and request payment via wire transfer. The emails being used for this scam have an email address ending in longmontcolorado.gov@usa.com. If you receive an email message from one of these email addresses, please do not open or click on any links contained within the message.

Please be advised that any official City email communication will have an email address ending in @longmontcolorado.gov. Additionally, the City will never request payment through wire transfer.
