Another Fine Mesh (Full Speed Ahead blog)

It’s time for all the warm-weather fun. Graduation parties. Memorial Day cookouts. Backyard get-togethers of every kind.

All of which can become really frustrating if your WiFi can’t show up to play. Who needs to have a Bluetooth speaker cutting out? Or check the scores on a phone that’s struggling to find decent cell service?

If you’re a NextLight customer, you’re already off to a great start. Longmont’s own fiber internet includes the ability to add a WiFi router that can power-up every device in your home. (And if you’re not a NextLight customer yet – or if you are but haven’t added our router yet – you can try out six free months of that WiFi if you contact us before June 30!) But we also know that some homes have unique circumstances, where even the best router needs a little help.

That’s where our mesh extenders come in.

Mesh units pick up your wireless signal and give it a boost, letting it reach even farther than before. That comes in handy when:

  • A home is extra large or has a lot of levels. A helping hand can make sure a third-floor guest room enjoys the same great signal that the living room gets.
  • You’re having fun in the yard and don’t want to worry about where the WiFi ends and the kinda-chancy cell signal begins.
  • Your home has a unique layout. Like a basement that just doesn’t get a signal. Or a bedroom that’s riiight on the edge. Or lovely brick walls that add character to your older home even while they destroy your WiFi reception. In cases like that, an extra link in the chain could be just what you need.

And of course, all our mesh units are compatible with Nextlight’s routers. There’s even a helpful video to show you how to set up an extender. Find out more at our website and then see for yourself.

You’ll be glad you decided to mesh around with it.
