The Longmont City Council has opened their bi-annual recruitment to fill vacancies on City boards and commissions. This is a great opportunity to make your voice heard and take a more active role in your community. Please consider applying.
Who can make the difference? It’s you!
Participants volunteer their time and advise City Council on a wide variety of issues that affect the safety, economy, and quality of life of Longmont’s residents and businesses.
Applications are now being accepted for vacancies on the following:
- Airport Advisory Board
- Art in Public Places Commission
- Board of Adjustment & Appeals
- Golf Course Advisory Board
- Library Advisory Board
- Master Board of Appeals
- Museum Advisory Board
- Sustainability Advisory Board
- Transportation Advisory Board
- Water Board
Update: Planning and Zoning Commission will not be recruiting for a vacancy until the end of the year.
Board members typically spend a few hours a month preparing for and attending meetings. Most boards require applicants to be a registered voter in Longmont and to reside inside Longmont city limits for at least one year prior to being appointed.
