Art in Public Places to Dedicate 10 Loaned Sculptures

Art in Public Places to dedicate 10 loaned sculptures  as part of Art on the Move 

Join local artists for a bike tour preview of all 10 pieces in the 2015-16 Art on the Move exhibition!  Artists will ride bikes, along with participants on pre-determined route, stopping at each of the five sites to view all 10 works of art.  Artists will provide information and answer questions about the artworks.  Please bring a bicycle in good working condition and wear a helmet.  Ride will be approximately 8 miles and two hours in duration.  Activate your ART tours

2:00 departure from St. Stephen’s Plaza, 5th & Main Streets on July 18.

Following the tour, a dedication will occur at 5:00 pm, (July 18) also at St. Stephen’s Plaza, where artists will be invited to further discuss their work and Art in Public Places Commissioners will be available to answer questions about this program or upcoming AIPP projects.

Art on the Move, a program of Art in Public Places, is celebrating ten years this year by exhibiting artworks by 10 Colorado artists in five different sites.  AIPP and Art on the Move are funded by 1% of Capital Improvement Projects of $50,000 or more.  To view each of the new sculptures around town, Art on the Move.
