On February 5, businesses in Boulder County will be eligible to apply for the 5 Star Certification Program through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). The program encourages businesses to implement safety measures beyond what is already required by public health orders and guidelines that will help slow the spread of COVID-19. In doing so, certified businesses will be able to accelerate their reopening while reassuring employees and customers that businesses are adhering to enhanced guidance.  

For more information on the program or to submit an application, please visit the BOCO Five Star website. This website is available in English and Spanish, and provides sample inspection checklists and resources for businesses interested in applying for the 5 Star program. There will also be a technical assistance webinar for businesses to learn about the process and ask questions on Friday, February 5 at 11 am. This is a free webinar but registration is required.
