Upcoming Town Hall: What the City Can and Cannot Do About Airport Noise
The City of Longmont will host a public Town Hall event about the City’s legal limitations to regulate noise at Vance Brand Airport on Monday, July 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The public is invited to attend in person at the Longmont Museum (400 Quail Road) or view the livestream on the City of Longmont’s YouTube page. After a presentation, both in person and virtual attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions.
The presentation will be made by John Putnam, an attorney with Kaplan Kirsch, the City’s special counsel on airport issues. Kaplan Kirsch is a national law firm that focuses on environmental, land use, public lands, energy, and transportation law. The presentation will help community members better understand the City’s legal authority, and its limitations regarding airport noise.
Attendees who need language interpretation, ASL interpretation, or other accommodations should submit a Request for Accommodation form by July 22.
