City of Longmont Launches Hover Acres Neighborhood Park Renewal Project

The City of Longmont is renovating part of Hover Acres Neighborhood Park, located at 1361 Charles Drive in NW Longmont. Inviting the community to share their preferences and ask questions is an important part of this process. The City is hosting three opportunities for the community to get involved: two drop-in events at the park and an online survey.

 

The project will update aging park facilities and infrastructure to better support current and future use of the park. Project goals include using less water, making the park easier to navigate, increasing enjoyment of park amenities and ensuring the park is fully accessible for all people in the community.

 

The playground and swings will be replaced and the picnic shelter will be improved. The community will help decide what other improvements to include, within the remaining budget, through the public engagement process detailed below.
