City to review, update infrastructure design standards

The City of Longmont will hold its next meeting to review and update portions of its design standards for public infrastructure on May 19. These standards are technical in nature, applying to how particular public services and improvements are built.

The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at the Development Services Center (385 Kimbark St.)  in the Twin Sisters Conference Room. The meeting will review proposed updates to:

  • Section 300 (Storm Drainage and Private Underdrains)
  • Section 400 (Wastewater Collection)
  • Section 500 (Water Distribution)
  • Section 600 (Landscape and Irrigation)
  • Appendix A (Construction Plan Requirements), Appendix B (Construction Plan Notes), Appendix C (Report Templates and Checklists), Appendix E (Acceptance Forms) and Appendix I (Approved Materials List)

Sections 400 through 600 will be brought to the City Council in June for its consideration and approval.  Section 300 and the appendices will come to the council in the third quarter of 2026.
