Cleaning Out the Closets a New Years Resolution?

Is one of your New Years Resolutions to clean out the closets? Public Safety has a chance for you to put some of these items to good use.

heart-photo-for-web150During the month of FEBRUARY the Longmont Safety and Justice Center is collecting the following items for “Have a Heart for the Homeless”. Beginning February 1, bins will be located in the lobby for residents to drop off these items to aid HOPE (HOPE FOR LONGMONT) in providing assistance to Longmont homeless.

The following items will be… accepted: 1) winter gloves (new or used), 2) heavy socks (new or used), 3) Men’s underwear all sizes but medium and large are the highest need – (new only) 4) Men’s jean’s – all sizes but size 30, 32, 34 are the highest need (new or used) 5) Men’s coats – all sizes but large and extra large are the highest need (new or used) 6) Hoodies – all sizes, but large and extra large are the highest need (new or used) 7) Men’s steel toe work boots – all sizes, but especially size 9, 10 , 11 (new or used) 8) Long underwear thermal – all sizes but especially medium to large (new or used) 9) Sleeping bags (new or used), 10) Individually wrapped non-perishable food – especially tuna packets, Vienna sausages, fruit cups, applesauce.

GET WHAT YOU HAVE TOGETHER NOW FOR “HAVE A HEART FOR THE HOMELESS” IN FEBRUARY.
