Connect Longmont: Learn More About Your City

Come “Connect” With Your City April 22

LONGMONT, CO – What’s going on with the Greenway? When will that traffic work near my house be done? And what exactly is there to do in Longmont this summer anyway?

Longmont residents can find out all that and more on April 22 at Connect Longmont, a free community open house from 4 – 7 p.m.  at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Ave.  The event brings together staff from more than 25 City projects, programs, and services in one location, giving residents a direct opportunity to learn about 2026 projects and programs, get real answers to their questions, and connect with the people behind Longmont’s services.

“Longmont is a full-service city, and events like this give residents a real chance to see what that means,” said Longmont City Manager Harold Dominguez. “We want people to come in with their questions – about neighborhood projects, street work, services, whatever’s on their mind – and leave feeling more connected and informed. This is their city. Come find out what’s actually happening in it.”

The open house will feature booths representing departments including engineering, parks, water, utilities, housing, public safety, the library and more. Attendees can:

  • Get a preview of the City’s 2026 Capital Improvement Program
  • Explore housing and neighborhood initiatives
  • Speak one-on-one with City staff about topics that matter to their community.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see Longmont’s ”Live Line” safety display, a literally high-powered demonstration of how dangerous touching a power line can be. Plus, meet Longmont’s City Council members and enjoy free food (while supplies last). Activities for children will be available. Spanish interpretation and ASL assistance will be provided.

Connect Longmont is free and open to the public. We’d love for you to register so we can plan for food and materials; however, registration is totally optional. You don’t need a ticket to come. Just show up! Whether you register ahead of time or walk in that day, you’re welcome here.
