Construction starting at Ken Pratt Boulevard and Hover Street on June 14 at 9 pm
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin work at the intersection of Hover Street and Ken Pratt Boulevard/Colorado Highway 119 on Sunday, June 14 at 9 pm to install temporary traffic signals in preparation for the next phase of intersection improvements.
Also beginning June 14, crews will close the inside-left-turn lane from CO 119 to northbound Hover Street and it will remain closed through 2027. One left-turn lane will be available for those travelling from Boulder to Longmont. Please allow for additional travel time and delays.
Later in June, overnight closure of the Ken Pratt Boulevard and Hover Street intersection will be required to install temporary pavement for future traffic alignments. More details on this closure will be available from CDOT soon.
Improvements at CO 119 and Hover Street include reconstruction of the intersection with a bridge that will go over Hover Street for traffic heading west toward Boulder. Improvements for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles at the Hover Street intersection are part of CDOT’s CO 119 Safety, Mobility and Bikeway Improvements Project.
