Don’t Miss Bonus Season!
Don’t Miss Bonus Season!
I’ve started watching the temperatures lately. As we move through fall and things start to cool off, it’ll soon be time to wrap up the lawn watering, disconnect the hose, and get the rake and snow shovel ready.
We’re used to that rhythm, especially in a state where September snowfall can be a thing. Every tool has its time and you have to take advantage of its proper season, whether it’s a lawn mower, a snow blower … or a bonus rebate for commercial energy efficiency.
OK, that last one may need a little more explaining.
Over the last few months, Efficiency Works has been offering bonus rebates to business customers, specifically a 50% bonus rebate for improvements related to food service, grocery, office and appliance, building envelope, cooling, variable frequency drives and water. Businesses are one of those areas where a little energy saving can add up fast – last year, just 22 companies created enough power savings to light a town the size of Berthoud for a month – and the bonus rebates are a great tool for getting that started.
But it’s almost time to hang up the garden hose. To get that bonus, improvements have to be done and submitted for payment by Nov. 15.
Mind you, energy efficiency is a great year-round tool for homes and business alike. That’s true whether you’re using Efficiency Works to help make needed renovations, or buying LEDs and smart thermostats at the Efficiency Works Store, or even taking advantage of the income-qualified CARE Program for free efficiency improvements. It’s all meant to save energy and save money with it – the dream combination.
So if you have something in the works that could qualify for the business bonus, visit the Efficiency Works rebate page to get more information and get your application in. After all, it’s still a season for extra savings.
And you definitely don’t want your efficiency projects to be left in the cold.
