Drone Flight Notification: August 4, 2026

On Tuesday, August 4, the City of Longmont Public Works/Engineering division will oversee drone flights at 17th Avenue & Airport Road and E. Longs Peak & Lashley Street within the road right of ways. The flights will occur between 7 am and 4 pm and will not fly directly over any homes.

• The 17th & Airport flight will gather surface elevation data to determine water flows that will help mitigate drainage/flooding issues at that intersection.
• The Longs Peak & Lashley flight will help engineer safer pedestrian crossing designs.
