The City of Longmont will temporarily close the southern portion of Emery Street between 3rd and 4th avenues beginning Monday, June 8, for routine sewer maintenance. Detour signs will direct drivers to Kimbark or Collyer streets.

Work is expected to finish on Tuesday, June 9. If crews need additional time, the City will provide an update.

Getting to the Civic Center and Library during the closure

The following parking areas will be open and accessible via 4th Avenue:

• Civic Center underground parking garage
• Longmont Public Library parking lot
• Most street parking along Emery Street

The St. John the Baptist Catholic Church parking lot will not be accessible from Emery Street until the work is finished. The lot can still be reached from Collyer Street or from the alley off 3rd Avenue between Emery and Collyer.

The surface-level employee parking area next to the Civic Center will be unavailable until the work is finished.
