Entrances to Longmont Greenway Closed
Entrances to Longmont Greenway Closed
Due to some minor flooding on some Longmont trails, the entrances to Left Hand Creek and St. Vrain Greenway are closed to the public through the weekend.
This is not considered a sign of any greater flooding in the city. City of Longmont public works and public safety staff continue to monitor conditions in the area and residents will be notified if flows rise to a dangerous level.
In the meantime, the public is asked to stay away from the greenways.
To keep up on the latest information, check the City’s social media outlets or visit LongmontColorado.gov/flood-info for information on flood preparedness. There, you can view live web cameras to monitor creek conditions, understand factors that can lead to flooding, learn how to be prepared, and, most importantly, stay informed.
