Find Your Fit: Recreation and Senior Services Offer Ways to Stay Active and Connected
Discounted Introductory Recreation Passes Available for Local YMCA Members
The City of Longmont invites residents to discover (or rediscover!) how Recreation and Senior Services can help people stay active, improve their physical and mental health and build meaningful personal connections. From modern fitness spaces and pools to social programs and supportive services, Longmont Recreation and Senior Services offer a variety of options for individuals and families.
Longmont has three recreation centers, each with unique offerings:
- Longmont Recreation Center (310 Quail Rd)
- Centennial Pool (1201 Alpine St)
- St. Vrain Memorial Building (700 Longs Peak Ave)
These centers offer cardio and strength equipment, indoor pools, hot tubs and saunas, a walking track and even a climbing wall.
There are many group fitness classes for different interests, ability levels and schedules. The Longmont Recreation Center offers SilverSneakers® classes for older adults that help improve strength, balance and mobility. Other classes include beginner workouts, specialized training, aquatic exercise and wellness workshops.
Longmont Senior Services provides a welcoming place for older adults. The Senior Center (910 Longs Peak Ave) offers educational programs, social gatherings, volunteer opportunities, peer support resources and creative activities that help participants maintain their independence while building meaningful relationships.
Recreation and Senior Services work together to support healthy bodies and strong communities.
